Letter from the Executive Director
What an incredible time to live and do business in Kearney! We are a fast-growing community in all sectors of development. We have the Shoppes at Kearney along I-35 that continues to grow. New infrastructure is under construction to support our growing population. We have one of the best school districts in the state of Missouri, bringing more and more young families to Kearney. We have top-rated city services, along with abundant parks and trails. My position allows me to encourage and help manage our community’s business growth, and I get brag on my own community on a daily basis. How lucky am I?
What can KADC do for your business? By identifying needs and connecting resources, we do what is needed to help companies – new or existing– grow and thrive in our community. Kearney Community Foundation
We created the Kearney Community Foundation to serve the Kearney Community, as defined by the boundaries of the Kearney School District, for the purpose of identifying human needs within the community, to strive to relieve them, and develop related programs to keep focus on systems and structures to continue such relief.
Programs
The Foundation’s primary work consists of overseeing the Kearney Senior Nutrition Center, the Meals on Wheels Program, and the Senior Taxi Service, which provides free transportation to seniors to and from the Nutrition Center. We have an outstanding team of volunteers who make these programs possible, under the great leadership of Executive Director Kathy Meinert.
