Foundation Minutes 4/10/15

April 10, 2015

Roll Call: Chip Glennon presiding, Kim Murphy, Joe Wilmes, Jared Wolters, Dave Hinck, Dr. Nicely, Jim Eldridge and Larry Pratt. Guests: David Pavlich, Shawna Searcy, Amanda Lubinski

Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Kim Murphy and seconded by Dr. Nicely to approve the minutes of the March 27, 2015 meeting as presented. The motion carried unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave Hinck reported the following bank balance for the Foundation Accounts:
NFI-Operating Acct. $ 3,602.11
NFI-Home Delivered Meals $ 8,155.96
NFI-Taxi Service Fund $14,764.22
NFI-Nutrition Center $16,626.69
NFI-Kearney Historic Museum $ 2,940.00
NFI-Kitchen Fund $ 5,780.72

Dave Hinck presented a bill from Ken Meinert for $1,350 and a bill from Durham Bus Service for $1,060.15.

A motion was made by Kim Murphy and seconded by Dr. Nicely to accept the Treasurer’s Report and pay the bills as presented. The motion carried unanimously.


CCSS QUARTERLY REPORT: Shawna Searcy said she had completed the Clay County Senior Services quarterly report and would be submitting it today.

ARNOTE GRANT: Shawna Searcy said she would be submitting the Harry Arnote Grant next week. We don’t know how much money we will be granted.

SENIOR TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: Shawna Searcy said she is still working on the senior transportation issues within the City limits. She said Ken Meinert is beginning to get several requests also. She said she would be looking to see if there are any grants that we could attempt to secure.

NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be April 24, 2015 at 7:00 A.M. at Kearney City Hall.

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business on the agenda, a motion was made by Dr. Nicely and seconded by Dave Hinck. The motion carried unanimously.
